I’m Tanisha Singh, LMSW, an Indian-American-Canadian TCK therapist trained at Columbia University. Growing up across North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, I’ve gained insight into living within both individualistic and collectivist cultures. I recognize the unique challenges of navigating a strong family presence while nurturing the desire to unleash your independent voice. There’s a lot to juggle—family expectations, cultural traditions, and the pressures of modern society. Together, we will navigate these complex dynamics so that you can breathe freely and finally allow the tension you’re holding to slowly melt away.
My therapeutic approach blends Emotion-Focused, Psychodynamic, and Somatic Breath-work to guide the release of repressed emotions stored in the body. We will address the stress, anxiety, and trauma of maneuvering a multicultural existence while healing your inner child and the wounds that have been developed through life’s changes. Whether you’re struggling with career choices, relationships, anxious thoughts, or the daily strain of trying to meet external expectations, I’m here to support you in forging your own path to authenticity.
